Advanced Pectus Course - October 5-6 2017 Phoenix, Arizona USA

The Advanced Pectus Course is designed for surgeons who are currently performing the Nuss Procedure in their practice, but want to improve their results. Since its description by Dr. Nuss 18 years ago, the technique has changed markedly. Improved techniques for decreased bar rotation, elimination of intercostal stripping, and safer passage of the bars under the sternum have been developed. The course will also cover modifications for adult pectus patients, techniques for recurrent or failed prior surgery, rib plating, and modifications for mixed defects.

Course Highlights: The 2 day course will include lectures and hands on lab. Each day features lectures on important topics, procedure updates, techniques to improve outcomes, difficult problems, expected results and long-term outcomes from the leading experts in the world. Improved post-operative pain management strategies now allow a markedly shorter hospitalization, and multi-modal pain control to reduce readmissions will also be discussed.
